Call for EMBA Board Members

The Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance Board of Directors is interested in hearing from big-picture strategic thinkers who are interested in volunteering for a one-year term on the Board of this forward-moving, not-for-profit organization. In 2010/2011 EMBA anticipates the need to fill openings on its  Board of Directors due to a new Board structure now being implemented. Applications are invited from interested individuals residing in the metro Edmonton area in a volunteer capacity.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 11 members, including the Executive  and Standing Committees. Directors are elected for a one-year term with the potential for a second term.

The Board typically meets monthly, with additional meetings scheduled when required, meetings are held in person in Edmonton.

It is an exciting time of innovation and progress! Skill sets and experience being sought include: Proven leadership; trail building skills; parks and recreation development; negotiation and mediation, strategic planning, and community involvement.  If you or someone you know has the time to give, passion for the issues, and feel that you or they can play a role in inspiring the investments of stakeholders, partners and our work, we would like to talk to you.  This year we are also particularly interested in identifying individual self advocates who can speak up!  Details of Board member duties and responsibilities are outlined as per the attached link.
