What EMBA Does

Maintain Edmonton's Singletrack Network

Through our Adopt-a-Trail program local ride clubs and other groups adopt singletrack trails to maintain each year. We work with these partners to organize and host Trail Days where Adopt-a-Trail leaders and volunteers repair and improve adopted trails. We also provide training, expertise, and resources such as tools and signs.

We have an agreement with the City of Edmonton to maintain sanctioned singletrack trails through this program. We’ve been running it with their support since 2010.

Is your ride club interested in adopting some trails? Find out how and get in touch! We’d love to hear from you.

Building New Trails

We help plan, get approval for and build new mountain bike trails and amenities. We work with the City of Edmonton through formal agreements and processes to ensure that what we build is sustainable and done properly.

Trail Advocacy

We connect with other community groups and land managers to encourage policies and activities that improve the local singletrack network. Examples of our advocacy efforts include commenting on plans and projects related to the North Saskatchewan river valley, building partnerships with like-minded organizations, and hosting events that bring together Edmonton’s mountain biking community.
