Trail Days
We work with partner clubs to organize trail maintenance and build days throughout the year. Some days require experienced volunteers to take on complex trail repair and building work, while others are open to people with no previous experience.
New volunteers are supported by Adopt-a-Trail leaders and more experienced volunteers. EMBA provides all the tools required and obtains approval from the City of Edmonton. Groups follow City trail work rules and safety protocols.
- Typical trail day work includes:
- Trimming back branches
- Removing fallen trees from across a trail
- Fixing drainage issues
- Repairing wooden trail features
- Re-routing sections of trail
- Smoothing out ruts

Register for a Trail Day
Anyone interested in helping to maintain Edmonton’s awesome trails can sign up for an Open Trail Day. We send out information about upcoming dates through our newsletter and post to social media. Dates and links to register are also posted on our events calendar.
Trail Waivers
Everyone participating in a trail day has to sign a waiver when they register. Waivers are reviewed and signed when signing up for a trail day using eventbrite.
