E.M.P Blast Level-Up: New Bridge, Fresh Flow & Your Next Chance to Dig In

What a difference one solid build day makes. The final aging bridge on E.M.P. Blast—long overdue for retirement—has been replaced with a rock-solid, non-skid span built to handle every wheel and shoe that crosses it.

Project snapshot

  • Full removal of the worn, decade-old structure

  • New joists, decking, and hardware installed by volunteers

  • Approach reshaped with fresh dirt and drainage to keep it dry year-round

  • Materials funded by our friends at Do North, whose upcoming trail-running event helped shine a light on the need for reliable features

  • Permitting & logistics cleared in record time thanks to a City team that is now starting to recognize how a quality single-track network supports active living, tourism, and ecological protection
